Ajimobi Defends Victory As Ladoja Tenders Over 34 Exhibits Against Him

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi in his bid to ascertain his victory in the last gubernatorial election has called more witnesses to defend a petition filed against him by Accord candidate, Senator Rashidi Ladoja.

Counsel to Senator Ajimobi, Mr. Olumuyiwa Aduroja, SAN, while calling the witnesses tendered their Permanent Voter Cards as exhibits before the Tribunal and were cross-examined by counsel to the respondents, Chief Bayo.


The witnesses told the Tribunal that accreditations and voting were duly carried out in their respective Wards and Local Governments where they acted as collation agents for INEC.
Senator Ajimobi who has five days to defend the petition, had so far called six witnesses to maintain his defense. Over 34 exhibits was presented by the Accord Party governorship candidate, Sen. Rashidi Ladoja in a petition filed by Accord Party, APC, Dr Rufus Akeju, and INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner.


Counsel to the Governor said they would reserve their objections to the exhibits tendered till the stage of filing their final written addresses.
