FG Urged To Support Private Initiative On Yam Production

In a communique arising from a Yan Seed Production workshop held at the Univerty of Ibadan on Wednesday, stakeholders on yam production have called on the Federal Government to support the setting up of public-private initiative to facilitate an emerging tissue culture based yam seeds in the country.

They also identified the scarcity of planting materials as major cause of concern for yam production and availability in Nigeria.
