The Oyo state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade has
stated his tenure’s commitment to the practice of community policing and
bringing it closer to the people and expecially to the academic community. He stated
this during a visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof.
Folorunsho Adewole.
The Police boss also spoke to the VC on capacity building
for Police officers as they would not be able to carry out their requisite
functions without necessary capacity.
