Residents of the Oluyole part
of Ibadan have called on the Oyo state government to rechannel drainages coming
into their area for fear that flood may destroy their properties and put ther
lives at risk.
The recidents made this know
during a protest where they carried placards with inscriptions of their
griviances on it. They stated clearly that they are not against the road
construction going on in the area but that flood should not be allowed to
destroy their community as a result of the construction.
It should be noted that one
of the private residence of the governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi is
located in an area of Oluyole.
