The
Oyo State Government has financially compensated the owners of lands acquired
by government at Onikeke village, Asejire, Ibadan.
Governor
Abiola Ajimobi said that the land acquired, which is approximately twenty
thousand, six hundred and fifty hectares would be used for the production of
tilapai fish.
While
presenting cheques to the land owners, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of
Lands, Housing and Survey, Mr. Babatunde Oladipupo who represented the governor
said the project was part of his election campaign and commitment of his
administration to provide employment opportunities for the teeming youths and
also to ensure food security in the state.
