A former governor of Oyo state, Rasheedi Ladoja has said
that the cause of corruption in Nigeria is the widespread poverty in the land.
He said at his Bodija, Ibadan residence after the Eid
prayers yesterday that to fight corruption, the government must make sure that
every Nigerian lives above the poverty level.
He also advised the security and anti-graft agencies to rise to the
demands of their duties.
