Yinka Odumakin Opens New Radio Station In Ibadan

While we are still waiting for Lagelu FM owned by Chief Adebayo Akande to kickstart in Ibadan in few weeks to come, Rumor has it that a new radio station is about to be launched in Ibadan, Oyo State. It is Petals 102.3 fm. The radio station, which has already commenced test-transmission is owned by the activist and spokesperson of the Afenifere Renewal group, Yinka Odumakin.

The National Broadcasting Commission, which has Emeka Mba as its Director-General issued the broadcasting licence to Petals Media Limited founded by Odumakin at the twilight stage of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan administration.

Odumakin, it could be recalled worked assiduously for Jonathan’s re-election in the southwest. We hear the radio station is set to commence full commercial transmission anytime from now.
