The Office of the bursar at the
University Ibadan would be vacant on the 18th of September 2015 as
the current occupant would be retiring. By tradition, any prospective applicant
must not be over 60 years of age as at the time of appointment, in this case,
the 19th of September and must have had 21 years post-qualification
experience. But sources have it that there are moves in some top management quarters
to appoint a person with just five years’ experience as the principal financial
officer of the university who would be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
All opposition to the move are
fast-mobilizing and in top gear to resist the plan.
