University of Ibadan Heading for Crisis

UI

The Office of the bursar at the University Ibadan would be vacant on the 18th of September 2015 as the current occupant would be retiring. By tradition, any prospective applicant must not be over 60 years of age as at the time of appointment, in this case, the 19th of September and must have had 21 years post-qualification experience. But sources have it that there are moves in some top management quarters to appoint a person with just five years’ experience as the principal financial officer of the university who would be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.

All opposition to the move are fast-mobilizing and in top gear to resist the plan.
