Oyo State Government is set to immortalize Late Chief Adekoge
Adelabu (popularly known as Penkelemes) by naming Challenge-Gate road after
him.
The state Governor stated this while receiving the planning committee of
the post humous centenary celebration of the late politician.
The Governor said Late Adelabu was a foremost Nationalist, an
intellectual giant whose record of achievement is yet to be matched by any one
n the State. He also expressed concern over the long years of neglect of such a
patriotic leader who has contributed immensely to the socio- economy and unity
of Ibadan and Nigeria as a whole.
